NIOS is one of the biggest electrolysis centers in New York, operating since 2007, and they now have two studios. They asked me for their website's responsive UX/UI design.
Electrolysis is a safe permanent hair removal technology. This procedure is used almost equally by men and women. The website (as the NIOS brand too) had to be sufficiently unisex. Most treatments are divided into several sessions, so clients need to book in from time to time.
So, the main function of the website is to quickly book an appointment either online or over a call; and provide clients with information about treatments, prices, and the team. Thus, in the mobile version, the studios can be called immediately with the button in the header. This has made life much easier for clients.
In 2022, their services were expanded to include facial treatments. Since neither service is less than the other, the request was to give them equal emphasis on the website. It was considered that more people would use the site from mobile, so this request had to be solved there as well.
On the price side, the balance of information isn't equal, because while there is one price for facial treatments, the price for electrolysis changes in 5-minute steps, and there was also a request to indicate the more popular time intervals – it wouldn't be a boring exhausting table. I solved the problem with a slider: where the slider is a timeline, and above it we see the minutes and the corresponding price.
